Prettying up the house!

Nathan and I decided this last friday to replace the old vinyl flooring in our kitchen and laundry room. So, off to Home Depot and Lowes we went to get all of the items we needed. By the time we were done it was about 6:00pm so we went and ate at Applebees. When we came back out to leave, our truck wouldn't start!! (Anyone who knows the ordeal we have had with this truck is taking pity on us right now). To make a long story short - Mom came to get us in her truck, we called a tow truck, and when the tow truck person got there he was able to start it right up - TWICE!
So, after unloading our stuff into moms truck we put it all back into our truck and went home!
Now about 10:00pm we are fitting the new flooring in the kitchen.
Here is what we did with all of the appliances as the floor was being demolished. (We also had to put the kitchen table in the bedroom hallway, our pantry in the bathroom, and Johns' toys in the computer room!)
This is the new flooring laid out and the old flooring on top for a comparison. Sara is very happy! (And tired, it's about 1:30am at this point).

The next day we were able to get all the appliances back and everything clean.
Not to shabby if I do say so myself!

The finished laundry room.

Camping and playing

Here we are at the Mineral Wells State Park enjoying the summer heat.

Getting ready to go swimming

Outside the store

Getting a refreshment before the days activities

There's the swimming area. It actually only about 4ft deep even at about 200 feet from the shoreline! Kind of strange!

Relaxing and getting sandy after a little "swim" lesson. More like a float back and forth from mom and dad lesson.
John has been really good with water, but I think the lake was a little much. Going from a pool or bathtub to a lake is a bit extreme. We're going to take it a litte slower next time.

Helping Hands

Helping daddy organize the work truck.

Helping to get the garden ready for planting.

And loving every dirty second of it! (Feels so good between the toes!)

Mowing lawn. What a dust ball!

Here is a picture of the Palmer grandparents - Clement and Agnus.

Nathans Family

This is most of Nathan's immediate family. Top: Dan Echols, Pops, Sara, John, Nathan
Bottom: Tish Echols, Chasity, Grandma Halbert, and Esther.
This picture is obviously missing the grandparents on the Palmer side.

Getting around good!

Here John is at Love St. Park in Weatherford. He was still a little wabbly on his legs at this point so he balanced himself with his chicken arms!

Trudging away!

Johns first haircut

Johns first haircut started out kinda rocky. He was really scared when they put the cape on me, but he settled down pretty quickly.

And, as you can see it ended pretty rocky. What a trooper!

Bringing you up to date on John

One year old

9 months old

6 months old

3 months old

about 5 minutes old!
I figured there's quite a few people out there that either haven't seen John in a long time, or have never seen him. So, here's making a long story short.
